Born in New Zealand, Sandra started her insurance career in the UK with the Sun Alliance and London Group. In 1974 she moved to South Africa and joined Protea in Johannesburg. In 1984 she relocated to Durban and joined the A.A. Mutual. Over the next 18 years with the various mergers, take-overs, re-engineering strategies and company withdrawals reducing the employment pool, she had to adapt and broaden her skills base. This meant working not only for Insurance Companies but for Reinsurers and Underwriting Managers as well. Sandra continues to operate from the coast and is responsible for the marketing and sales in her beloved KZN region.
